They\u2019re better for your wallet, because tap water costs less money. And, they\u2019re better for your body, because you\u2019ll always have a trusty water bottle at your side!<\/p>\n

Are you ready to make the switch to using reusable bottles, but aren\u2019t sure how to turn that idea into practice? Here are some tips to get you started:<\/p>\n

1. Find a water bottle that you love. Seriously. This is a biggie. It sounds trivial, but it\u2019s true. Consider the size. How much do you drink? You don\u2019t want to be running to the fountain all day long! What kind of spout do you prefer? A straw? Small hole? Wide mouth? What material do you like? Tritan water bottles are dishwasher safe, while the smooth stainless steel bottles and aluminum bottles appeal to your sense of touch.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

2. Just say no (and just ask). What? Just say no to a bottle of water when offered one, and ask to have your reusable water bottle filled up if there aren\u2019t any obvious places to do so yourself.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

3. Remember to bring your reusable bottle. Once you get used to your trusty bottle sidekick, it becomes a no-brainer, but how can you remember your bottle in the beginning? Put a sticky note by your computer, back door, or refrigerator. Buy two of your favorite bottle and keep one at home and one in the car or at work. Or, just reward yourself! Bring your bottle every day for a week and bribe\u2026er, reward…yourself with something special. By then, it should be close to second nature.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

4. Read up. When you educate yourself on the statistics around plastics in our landfills, oceans, and environment, you will WANT to make the switch!<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

5. Spread the love. Got the reusable water bottle habit? Good! Now help others do the same. Reusable water bottles are great for messaging. Whether you\u2019re a small nonprofit, or a large corporation, water bottles display more than your logo\u2014they also demonstrate your commitment to the environment.
