They join the ranks of famous performers like Jack Johnson and Benicio del Toro, asking us to refuse, reduce, reuse, and recycle and talking about the dangers of plastics pollution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3Aq4nZDxMD4?rel=0\" width=\"853\" height=\"480\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/amywestervelt\/2011\/11\/08\/under-pressure-from-sponsor-american-idol-pulls-plug-on-plastic-psa\/\">Forbes reported last week<\/a> that the Plastic Pollution Coalition (a consortium of celebrities, politicians and organizations including Surfrider, Greenpeace and others)&nbsp; found out that American Idol is being pressured by a sponsor to have the PSA and any American Idol association with it removed.
